Dan: Did you "hang around" in New Brighton and in particular on Layton Ave. much. Were you into sports? I remember the Composto's installed a makeshift basketball hoop in their backyard and the "jocks" of the neighborhood would assemble there (if we weren't either,in the "lots", or "down the playground") to play some basketball.
Besides, Peggy and the older boys, I can vividly remember "Rex" the German Shepard they owned and their father's (Frank) big, brand new Buick.
Do any of these names ring a bell: Richie Solebello, Bobby Koss, Joey Moskie (real name Modzelewski), Ross Terelle, Ricky Ohleth?
BTW: Do you or have you had any contact with the Composto family?
Regards,
Bob C.
