Lee: I have the same feelings as you towards "Veterans rights". I was one of those "notch" vets who got out when the GI bill for education was no longer in force. So I paid my own tuition and living costs when I went back to school.
It really p*ssed me off to see so-called "vets" later on milking the GI bill for all it was worth...changing majors to extend it and other tricks...kinda of like some people do with welfare benefits nowadays.
By the time they started up GI education benefits again, it was too late for me to apply. This is really all sour grapes...after all, I didn't have to serve when the Korean conflict was on, and Vietnam was just getting started when I got out...Sour Grape Dan
