Gina, that's hittin' right close to home. See that wonderful street just about four blocks to the right from ground zero at Manor and Victory? That's Hodges Place, site of Sheridan Manor, the two-storey attached row house where I wasn't borned, but raised in the finished basement, the former coal bin area converted into a bedroom for me when dad finsished the basement with sheetrock that U.S. Gypsum no longer wanted.
And if you look right across Victory from Hodges, half a block left, i.e., west, away from the ferry, ya' see Sommers Lane, where Old Timer (she wasn't an old timer then) lived.
Down the end of Hodges is a little loop on the map; that's the triangle that the street surrounded in which we played all kinds of catch, football, tag, ring-a-levio, hide-and-go seek, and any other kind of game that began "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, catch a (deleted) by his toe, when he hollers, let him go, out goes "Y" "O" "U," which reminds me to pick Gina. Don't ask me for wot! :) -rs
