Funny you should remember the rides at South Beach. My sisters and I were cleaning out my parents hoouse after my dad's death and we found the old family photo albums and began reminiscing about old times, as perhaps only sisters can do, when we came across pictures of us sitting in the bumper cars at South Beach. We would go to the South Beach Amusement Park on Sundays and every once in awhile we would go on an outing to Clove Lakes Park and my dad would row us around the lake. Had to laugh at you post on 4-corners. I only knew the location because my mother had a friend who was a British war bride and we would take a few buses from Tottenville to reach her home.
