The "hills" of Staten Island (Todt Hill, Ward Hill, Lighthouse Hill, and Grymes Hill) contain some of the nicest and oldest homes on the borough. They are also considered, by some, to be the neighborhoods of wealth and privilege. Many of the older homes now have a huge garish monstrosity next door, built by a nouveau-riche neighbor. However, some of the older homes are breathtaking. You find an interesting mix of old and new money. Plastic surgeons, cardiologists, lawyers, and mafia capos abound. I don't live on the hill, but would if I could afford a near seven-figure price tag. I envy you. Good luck.
