Grymes Hill is nice from what I can remember as a child and some as a young adult visiting Staten Island. I presently live in Florida but I was born in Staten Island and have family that still lives there. I don't know where your from but SI has alot of Italian residents and families that have lived on the island for a long time. It may appear dirty and cluttered to you depending where yor from, however, I love it you can do most anything you possibly can think of , you can get around easily w/ public transportation, and the restaurants are incredible. As for Grymes Hill I beleive I remember it as a upper class neighborhood with older homes, (as most of the island).
