The SI Advance could make a few bucks off of it. They could allow advertising on their web site for a fee and this would bring in considerable revenue. They could also charge an access fee for the Advance. For example, if you buy the WSJ on a news stand it costs $0.75 per issues that comes to about $16.50 per month, however, if you buy it off the web, it only cost $4.95 per month. Using those same percentages, the advance could charge $2.50 - $3.00 per month to access the paper on the web and I would bet they would make a fortune. They would only have to put it up their once, there are no delivery fees, and no trucking fees. I don't know why they don't get into the 90's and let the Advance be read nationwide by all those former Staten Islanders who are still Staten Islanders at heart and want to know what is going on here.
