Thanks very much. If the Tim Sweeney lived on Barker Street, then he was my grandfather's brother. He was the only member of my grandparents' generation, on either side of the family, that I ever knew. When he was very old, he owned two houses, side by side on Barker Street, Nos. 77 and 79. He'd been living all alone in one of them for countless decades, and when he died intestate all the relatives, including me, inherited the properties. But they were in such outrageous condition that they were worthless. We all had to agree, in fact, to use estate money to have the houses boarded up. I think my twelfth of a share finally amounted to $70. Hard to believe, isn't it? Two properties inside NYC going for that kind of money?
