Has anyone else noticed this? You pay about $1650.00 to play on a hockey league that should be SAFE, FAIR, and FUN...
Well maybe it's just me BUT does it seem fair that the referees play in the league that they referee in? I'm sure anyone would agree that regardless of whether or not they are working on the night their team plays, they'd still allow their friendships to cloud their judgement. It would be very easy to call a penalty on an inconclusive play in order to help a friends team win, or look the other way when a penalty SHOULD be called. I honestly wouldn't blame them. I myself might do the same in their position. BUT knowing this, what was the owners of SportsFest thinking when they hired these KIDS and allowed them to also participate in the games. They should hire more experienced MEN, who can be fair professional.
Also, shouldn't the referees be wearing protective equiptment? The last time I looked they did it in the NHL...and they're PROFESSIONALS! What happens when a player accidentally slashes a ref and they get a serious injury? Who is at fault? The player? Or the Ref (for not having proper protective equiptment)?!?
I think the owners of SportsFest should take a step back and look at the way their league is being run...The Referee situation is getting MANY teams disgusted and their equiptment is a lawsuit waiting to happen. VERY PROFESSIONAL, YEAH RIGHT!!! LOL
