My wife and I are thinking of movign to Staten Island and we are most interested in the St. George area because it is near the ferry (we both work in Manhattan). We are wondering what the crime rate is like around that area. Specifically, would it be safe for us to walk home if we worked late? Also, are there any other areas SI that are affordable and easily accessable to a commuter?
