Just in case any of the ex-Islanders were fishing enthusiasts here's the latest fishing news
Fresh Water - Bardy's Pond is producing largemouth bass, Clove Lakes is producing bass and catfish and Pouch Camp has pickerel up to 25 inches, bass crappies up to 3 1/2 lbs. and large catfish.
Salt water - Off the beaches - Bass up to 35 lbs off Great Kills, Sequine Ave is producing up to 22 lb bass. Manhattan St. is producing bass to 25 lbs, the Navy Base produced a 43 lb bass and a 44 inch bass was landed off Penny Beach, Mt. Loretto - the fluke are starting to show, Glover St. is producing weakfish, and bass.
Boaters are reporting that around Old Orchard plenty of blues and bass some blackfish are being found around the inshore wrecks and in the deep water wrecks around Scotland. The flounders are just about and the fluke are just beginning.
