I vote on the side of yellow/gold. Can you picture what I mean by "dark yellow?" Maybe on the yellow side of manila-envelope color. Tending toward orange, but still definitely yellow. The trim is dark blue.

Don't forget that the American Legion crashed into the pilings on Election Day 1978, and after they had repaired the damage but not completed the paint job, it ran for several months (probably not as long as it seemed) painted in bright pink primer. Ugly!!
