The 666 was in between Pelton and Oakland (I lived on Pelton) Demyan's Hofbrau was owned by my cousin, Pat Demyan. It was THE Wagner College Ba hangout. As for Pizza, I think the best on SI came from Nunzio's on Hylan Blvd, BUT Pal Joey's (next to the 666) wasn't bad and Joe (Andreano) was a neighbor of ours on Pelton. The Buddy-Buddy on Clove Road wasn't bad either.
Talk about a small world! I was surfing the net one day here in Germany and I ran across the Staten Island net. There was a query there about Staten Island from a lady who lives in a village about 2miles from mine. (Of course, she was from Tottenville, which might as well have been the moon when I was kid.) But it was really neat! Then I ran across a lady Army officer (I'm a civilan, but I work at an Army base) who was a reservist out of El Paso but "TAWKED wita NOO YAWK axcent". Found out she is from Pleasant Plains (another town in the boondocks of Staten Island) But you're the first real (North Shore...west brighton) person I've run across. My brother Les, graduated from Curtis in 1959 and still lives on the Island...Todt Hill. P.S. "ax" me about LA nostalgia (we're talking here 60's...I could ride my motorcycle on dirt trail from Gardena to Anaheim)...I'll bet that's not possible anymore.
