Beagles are great pets! I had a miniature for about 10 years and she went everywhere with me... they tend to howl at a passing siren, but I kinda liked that myself!!! She was very friendly and very mushy! Fairly easy to train and a wonderful traveling companion - on foot and in the car. Good luck on fulfilling your dream, and have fun!!!
