Has anyone noticed that in advertising, on T.V. and Radio that men are most often made the object of being the "stupid person"? For instance, I keep hearing the ad for the "Metropolitan Energy Counsel" where the woman badgers the man to admit that he is stupid for favoring gas heat (the woman says he should choose oil), until he admits he IS WRONG and he apologizes?

On T.V. quite awhile ago, on "Home Improvement" the man was made to feel insensitive for not volunteering to have a vasectomy instead of his wife choosing to have her tubes tied? At the end of the episode, the man admitted that he was basically a selfish slob for not giving in to the vasectomy. So, he went to have the vasectomy (p.s. .. vasectomys can cause related health problems). ... There are many more recent examples of men being the "stooge" on T. V. versus the Women ...

Can ANYONE recall in recent history when the WOMAN was made to be the "stooge" when with the MAN????

There are many more examples that I can cite. Am I being overly sensitive, or, in our society's effort to be "politically correct", have Men allowed themselves to become idiots in the eyes of the media (and society) without being noticed????

Please understand that I think woment are wonderful!!! The Love of My Life is a fantastic woman and I love her totally! But what the hell is going on with bashing men in recent years?
