Wow! You just got a copy of those words yesterday and here it is posted today? Talk about synchronicity! *S*
They were beautiful words...and very true ones at that!!! But you know...I think most of us have some room to grow in the "understanding" department...although I'm quite sure that if everyone were "polled" on the subject 9 out of 10 would say they were already extremely understanding and compassionate!
I'm sure that the above poetic words ARE very relavent to people in your GrandDaughters postion...as I'm sure they must feel that they're forever going against the tide of a very servere humanity! But you know...Compassion and Understanding...while they SHOULD be unconditional...always seem to be filtered through the "PERSONA"... the PERSONAL experience...and so...I think that most people find it hard...to find compassion and understanding for whatever ISN'T in their own frame of reference! It seems like ONLY when something "hits home"...do we stop and take that OBJECTIVE as opposed to SUBJECTIVE viewpoint!
They say you shouldn't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes! Wouldn't it be great...if ALL of us...did that... ALL of the time! *S* It doesn't take anything but a ~loving heart~ to learn to "accept" and be supportive and a ~loving~ heart...is something we ALL have the ability to possess!!!
It doesn't even cost anything! In fact....it's costing us all MORE in the long run NOT to be compassionate!
