"There are no accidents, everything happens for a reason" is a catchy phrase that I'm sure many of us have heard but never really gave too much attention.
This web site and all the postings has brought out so much great Staten Island "stuff." I feel what it's really bringing forth is the "Beauty of Humanity" and the forte in Staten Island'ers. To be able to post the belief of ones thoughts & beliefs can sometimes be very a risky place in life. Once we hit the "submit" button there it goes right into cyber space for the world to read & form opinions like it or not. We share stories of our growing uP on Staten Island, often bearing our soul (not to be confused with the sole of "maashoose"). Very often it's as though we're all sitting around a table holding hands centering our inner energies creating a very special strengh & support. We post points of interest with true feeling. Some are informative & serious showing comapssion or contorversy and... "write we do, with the passion of our convictions." While other posting may bring a twist of laughter or tears to the heart of any day. We open uP our vunerable self and "agree to disagree" and seem to always allow room for the option to explain further or have a more "enlightend change of heart." This doesn't happen often with such openess.
I know for myself this web site has let me be. I was no "Ms. Studyamo" in school and often hesitated to write because of my lousey spelling, typos & the fear of not using proper grammar when writing. This was especially true knowing that others were gonna read what I wrote OUCH!!!. Here I decided to just "go for it" and take the corrections as they come but never to let the "critiquers of the world" block my keyboard strokes. The one thing I do know, is that I have "life experince" in many arenas. I have allowed myself to be as open as possible and to participate often. I cherish my participation as my learning tools for growth in lifes educational process. I feel very stongly that what we are experiencing here is "growth to a better world"
The "accident" of bumping into one another on this web site deffinetly happened for all the right reasons. Keep on posting with continued passion, always allowing space for growth and continued discovery of lifes hidden treasurers & all the people in it :) (ok I'll get off my runonnnnn soap box now LOL)
