It looks like you came to the right site. My altavista search produced several links right here. You may browse several of the entries by Kathy, I believe she was one who fought for the preservation of the ecology in Fresh kills. I will post the link if I can find it. I believe the William T. Davis was one of this countries first wetland preservation areas. Professor John James Audubon used to personally lead nature tours through this sanctuary. A science teacher I had at PRHS used to go with Audubon on these tours. I believe I learned this via the PRHS Audubon Club. (Or was it at PS30. This is almost 40 years ago. I guess it qualifies as ancient history.)
