Isn't it wonderful that educators just go ahead and experiment on kids. The Federal Department of Education still has not complied with the "Common Rule." This law which regulates all research involving human subjects was passed after Hazel O'Leary exposed the experiments that were done by the Atomic Energy Commission on non-informed subjects in the 40's and 50's. My class at PS30 was involved in an experiment according to the "Dewey Progressive Education System" we had progressively more freedom and less discipline based on how high our IQ's were. You could walk into the "One" classes and kids were allowed to "creatively" throw chairs out the window, tie the teachers legs to their chairs and write anything we wanted to on the blackboard. I was in the "two" class but I would sneak into the "One" class to join in the fun. I think they took the teachers home everyday in straight jackets.
