Speaking of public schools, the March 30, 1998 issue of Newsweek lists the top hundred public high schools out of the many thousands across the nation. Which SI school made the cut? Curtis? No. New Drop? No. Tottenville? Not a chance.

Pawrichman! That's what. Numbah 85 out of a hunnert. Not too shabby.

Way to go PRHS. Beat New Dorp. -rs (Curtis '58)
