The north shore has far more apartment building then the south shore. If you were to live along Victory Blvd. near Silver Lake, there are quite a few options as far as apartments. Even Randall Manor has more apartment buildings than the South Shore. I actually grew up in Dongan Hills, there are a few apartment building around the train station there, but difficult, at best to find one that is available. Your best bet is somewhere along Victory. It is only a 5 minute ride to the Ferry on the Bus and you also have the option of taking the 14 or 16X. Another option is to park at the ferry for $5.00 per day and avoid all the buses. You will be home in 5 minutes!
