As a Homeowner on this Block, If you read Tom's original posting he never Discrimated once towards the Mentally challenged adults who will be placed in this house. He reacted on the history of what has taken place on this small block with only 12 homes over the past four years. Hopefully everyone will read this and understand why Tom posted and why we are reacting and opposing this Organization coming in. (Instead people unlike YOU post and just want to shoot their mouths off without at least asking Tom why such a concern) ... The City placed a Parking Lot that heads into this Street."I know now everyone will say so whats the big deal " I will tell you all what the big deal is. Come into this Block and see how Dangerous it is when you have commuters again not their fault , trying to pull out of the Lot on a one lane strip , while Homeowners are attempting to come into the street to get into the block and get to their homes. The parking lot attracted many young teenagers who hang out and throw Bottles and have parties during the night, ( KIDS WILL BE KIDS THIS IS THEIR WAY OF FUN ). There has been a great deal of breaking into commuters Cars. Now the city does this with good intentions BUT they did a HALF ASS JOB excuse the expression. Try entering this Block and see Its a JOKE if you have a small car you will loose it with the POT HOLES on the corner. Did the City follow up and fix the POT HOLES NO !!!!! Has the Association put in complaints about these POT HOLES ??? YES !!!!!!! MANY COMPLAINTS I would like all the people who flamed Tom's posting try to come and visit this block because SEEING IS BELIEVING !!! Next issue there is a house on the Block with a Landlord who has it as a Boarding home. He rents the bottom appartment with four Bedrooms to people/strangers on a week by week agreement for $100.00 a week. Where is this Landlord taking the money and laughing all the way to the bank. So what do we do as homeowners ??? Well we put in complaints and guess what ???? Correct nothing gets done. We won't mention how many times Police were at this house looking for people who skipped visiting their Parole officer, Or the fights and the Ambulances with these people walking down the street with Blood, after a fight or two or three.... So everyone look at the whole picture here. Did this Organization do the research???? Check out all these worries that we have for our neighborhood. Is it really safe to place these mentally challenged people on a corner So close to this Commuters lot, and have them face the same worries we have, walk around the corner and God Forbid get hurt with the POT HOLES, Walk into one of these Renters and possibly get hurt ???? Everyone should look at the WHOLE PICTURE HERE !!!!!! Can we do anything about this home with a Landlord that does not live there??? We tried and we got NO WHERE !!!!!! This is no EXCUSE for Tom's Posting !!!! This is no EXCUSE for opposing the organization coming into the community. THESE ARE FACTS !!!!!
If anyone wants I will be happy to let you in on this block to see it for yourself....
