I remember those parades. I think the Memorial Day Parade started near Page Avenue and ended at the Legion Post on Main St. I visited Tottenville in 1989 when I wen t up for my high school reunion (ST. Peter's) and an awful lot of the Main Street area looked the same to me. Living in Florida, I sometimes miss the small town environment. In the 50's, Tottenville was like Peyton Place where everyone knew everyone and everyone's business.
