Staten Island Sports Information: Oct 31, 1997. Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY. (5 mile course) Ryan Maxwell, Staten Island - Msgr.Farrell HS, placed 10th overall with a time of 25:21 and earned All-Big east Honors while helping the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish Cross Country team win their first Big Esat Conference Title. Providence College placed second with 74 points, ND had 49, while Georgetown was third. Rob Cruz, Tottenville HS, and West Virginia University placed 16th overall.Kevin Jermyn of Georgetown placed 40th.
