This vessel is actually named "Str. MARY MURRAY".
An interesting note about this vessel, and her sisters MISS NEW YORK and GOLD STAR MOTHER:
Back in the mid 1930s the Puget Sound Navigation Company bought a burned hulk of a Key Route San Francisco Bay ferry and transformed her as the World's first streamlined ferry KALAKALA. This may have inspired New York ferry officials to give the MISS NEW YORK-Class a streamlined design. KALAKALA has a web page:
