One question: Why are "wide, open spaces" good and "crowded, city living" bad?
My brother lives upstate in Fishkill and has a beautiful house on an acre and I could NEVER live there! I like being able to walk to Miggy's or 7-Eleven for milk and bread or to a bus stop if my car is in the shop. I like going to the mailbox and being able to greet my neighbor without using sign language or having to raise my voice.
