I really enjoyed taking that walk back through Rossville - OH those Dutch Colonials - wasn't StatNisland LOADED with em LOL.
As a teen when we has that borrowed "proof you" stuff a bunch of us used go to Coopers & the Whitehouse. Spent more time at the Whitehouse. If I remember right the Whitehouse had a hitching post outside and it wasn't unusual to see horses as we drove uP.
We spent lots of hours play skiball (think that's what it's called) & pool at the Whitehouse. It was off the beaten path and host a nice friendly crowd of all ages.
As time went on there seemed to be more & more of a motorcycle crowd in both places.
The 60's were good years hangin out on Staten Island.
