Gina, I used my school bus pass too for a nickel each way and went everywhere by bus. Knew all the routes and which bus went where. Just try and get a ride from your parents in those days!! If you did't have the carefare you walked, day or night. it was so safe. I drove my kids everywhere and wouldn't dare let them out alone at night. What a difference in just one generation.
